USCIS Immigration Exam

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Obtaining a Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) in the United States can be an exciting experience, however, everyone applying for a Green Card needs to take part in the immigration physical exam, also known as the green card medical examination. This examination is an important step in the immigration process and can only be conducted by a designated Civil Surgeon, who is a physician authorized by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The main purpose of the immigration physical exam is to determine the medical fitness and health of the applicants and to ensure that they have all the necessary vaccines as per the guidelines of the USCIS. The results of the green card medical exam are then used to determine the eligibility of the applicants for their permanent resident status in the United States.
